The Technical Challenge

Expand the capacity of a 132/33 kV infrastructure by integrating switching, protections, and new transformation outputs without compromising system reliability.

The INELCO Solution

INELCO developed the assembly of 33 kV cells, the manufacturing of a gantry connected to three 30 MVA transformer outputs, and the undergrounding of medium-voltage circuits in 33 kV and 13 kV to support the system's power expansion.

The project was completed with the manufacturing of LVDPs for protection, monitoring, and commands, integrating RTUs and battery banks for supervision and service backup in switching and control.

A set of splices, terminal connectors, Cu tubular bars, connectors, and current and voltage measurement cabinets was also manufactured to complete the electrical connection with high availability criteria.
